Discover SCUBA and SCUBA Refresher Classes
Snorkeling and Discover SCUBA Diving
Whether you’ve just bought your first mask, snorkel and fins, or you are a SCUBA diver who wants to spend “surface” intervals making pike dives to take underwater photographs of dolphins and whales, this class can help you and is fun for the entire family. Snorkeling classes run concurrently with Discover SCUBA scheduled times. Contact SPLASH to arrange for a Snorkeling class.
The Discover SCUBA Experience is great for those who have always wondered what it would be like to breathe under water. Come by Splash and get fitted, we provide all the SCUBA gear you’ll need. Just bring your bathing suit and a towel to the pool. No refunds, no date chages once purchased. Cost may be applied to the SPLASH tuition for our Basic SCUBA Certification course within 30 days. Sessions usually last about 2 hours.
SCUBA Tune-up and Review
For certified SCUBA divers of all levels, the SCUBA Tune-up is recommended following 6 months or more of SCUBA diving inactivity. It is required by some dive resort destinations. To receive a logbook sign-off, participating divers demonstrate mastery of academic and in-water skills, reviewing the basic SCUBA skills with a SCUBA Professional in the pool or other open water. The session includes a pool-side academic review. SPLASH provides all gear, as needed for the pool. No refunds, no date changes once purchased.
Pool Use for SCUBA Divers
Pool time is available for purchase to Certified divers on weekends when SPLASH is conducting Open Water Classes at GW Recreation Center, Saturday (2 – 5) and Sunday( 10 – noon). This option is perfect for the diver who wants to try out some new gear and is comfortable getting in the water independently. Please consult the Open Water training page for dates, or call SPLASH. Balast weight and one use of an aluminum 3000 PSI air cylinder is included with the purchase of a Pool Time session.
Buoyancy/Skill Clinics
A single session concentrated on streamlining your diving, with an opportunity to work on the little things. The session is geared toward one of the following disciplines: peak performance buoyancy control; underwater photography; technical diving configurations; or, for the underwater videographer.
